This was an assignment project for Cert IV Web Design course. Initially it was supposed to be just about role playing games but halfway through the year, I started working with a student in my capacity as a tutor. She was disengaged from school and learning and using our common interest of Dungeons and Dragons, I developed a game where I could incorporate learning and therapy goals into the game. Over the months, this evolved and I wanted to create a space where I could demonstrate the benefits of using role playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons in both education and therapy. This was a new adventure with a lot to unpack with assignment deadlines so the content was rushed and was still being developed with my student. So, there's quite a lot to still improve and fix but it has so far given me one lead which is a great start!

Future Plans
✔ Make site mobile responsive
✔ Remove curriculum information until that information is available
✔ General content tidy up and a more appealing landing page, relocate video link elsewhere
✔ Fix broken contact
✔ Paid and free educationial materials linked to the Australian Curriculum that can be downloaded. Creating these teaching resources are very time consuming as one person so this will take some time.

This is our group project from the Diploma class. We worked with a real client. The Friends of the River is a community organisation looking after the environmental health of the Rivers Avon and Swan. Their old website was tired looking and disorganised and we were tasked with bringing it up to date with added functionality.

Future Plans
✔ Being a TAFE project, I think any future work would be left for new students to undertake if the organisation wished for changes.

I keep bees as a hobby and although I give away most of my honey to friends and things like the school fundraising events, I do want to produce a site where I talk about bees and honey and showcase some of the produce. In the future it may turn into an online shop but I have a few ideas and plans but they are not ready to implement just yet as the infrastructure is not ready. I am still building up my bees.

My beekeeping has taught me something very surprising. The fascinating honey bee has had a great PR campaign when in fact, here in Australia it is a pest and need to be managed. I won't go into the details here but I have been learning more about the native bees and the impact of honey bees on them. This is not just here but all over the world. I want to make a gamified site that teaches not just about the honey bee but thousands of species of bees around the world that we are neglecting in favour of the commercialised honey bee.

Future Plans
✔ Create the site
✔ Gamify the learning through gamification elements such as collecting, gaining XP and leaderboards.
✔ Research bees from around the world but start here in WA and build outwards.

I have a Turkish background but have failed to teach my children the language beyond the basics for various reasons. There is a small Turkish community with children in a similar position with various degrees of language proficiencies. Some are fluent, some are almost non users like my children. It is hard to learn a language you cannot use day to day especially when teaching materials for foreign languages are geared towards going on holiday and staying at a hotel. There are almost no materials geared towards children learning it as a second language. I developed a beginner's course for adults whose aim was to go on holiday. I now want to adept this to children who will mostly use it in a home setting. My plan is to have an online version of the paper content that can eventually be used on mobile devices as an app as well.

Future Plans
✔ Develop the educational side of the learning plan
✔ Develop how to keep track of progress of learning
✔ Develop online reward systems to encourage learning
✔ Research audio elements such as voice recognition in different languages.
